On March 18th, according to the China Coast Guard, the 1307 naval fleet of the China Coast Guard patrolled within the territorial waters of the Diaoyu Islands. This is a rights protection patrol activity carried out by the Chinese Coast Guard in accordance with the law.

According to the previous day, the Chinese Coast Guard announced that the Japanese fishing vessel "Asamaru" illegally entered the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Islands on the 16th. The Chinese Coast Guard vessel took necessary control measures against it in accordance with the law and issued a warning to drive it away.

For a long time, the Chinese Coast Guard has carried out regular rights protection patrols within the territorial waters of the Diaoyu Islands in accordance with the law.

Diaoyu Island is located at the eastern edge of the East China Sea continental shelf, and is a continental island attached to Taiwan, China in geological structure. As early as the early Ming Dynasty, Diaoyu Islands were clearly designated as Chinese territory. When the United States transferred sovereignty over Ryukyu to Japan in 1972, it also transferred administrative jurisdiction over the Diaoyu Islands to Japan. In response to the repeated provocations by Japan and the United States against China's sovereignty over the Diaoyu Islands, since the 1970s, Chinese civil society organizations around the world have repeatedly launched the "Protect Diaoyu Islands Movement" to declare sovereignty. On August 15, 2012, Hong Kong patriots successfully intercepted Japan and landed on the Diaoyu Islands, planting the five-star red flag and declaring that the People's Republic of China has indisputable sovereignty over the Diaoyu Islands.
